A Day on the Slopes is a fun and inclusive winter program that introduces racialized, newcomer, and Francophone youth to the sport of skiing in the region of Waterloo. The program is designed primarily for girls aged 12–18, with limited spaces available for boys who wish to participate.

This initiative is ideal for young people who are curious about winter sports but have never had the opportunity to try skiing due to cost, lack of access, or limited representation. No experience needed—just curiosity and enthusiasm. Email us at info@afropolitan.ca if you have any questions.

Spots are limited and priority would be given to those who had registered to 2026 programming in December 2025. Deadline to apply is February 11th, 2026 at 5PM.
