It is time for countries to update their climate action pledges, or Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), for the Paris Climate Agreement process. We want the White House to make a strong pledge for the US that includes a commitment to phase out fossil fuels at home by 2031 and to provide its fair share of funding for climate action in lower income countries. Friday, November 15, has been designated as a Global Day of Action for climate justice by movement organizations participating in the UN climate talks being held in Baku, Azerbaijan (known as COP29).
