Thanks to the City’s support in ensuring a safe environment, your favorite farmers market is back this season, but with a different feel. Starting Saturday, May 23 you can pick up fresh, healthy foods from your local farmers, but our usual emphasis on friendly gathering must shift.

Open air access to local, fresh, nutrient-dense foods is more important than ever. We’re grateful to be able to continue to provide this important community resource, but as always, the safety of our neighbors, staff, volunteers, vendors, and YOU remain USMS’ top priority.

Thank you for joining in to ensure a safe environment for all by taking our Farmers Market Shopper Pledge. The health, safety, and survival of your neighbors depend on it. Together, we can reduce the spread of COVID-19.

As a responsible farmers market shopper and member of the community who #LovesUnionSquare, I pledge to: *

STAY HOME if I am sick, displaying any symptoms of potential sickness, or have come into contact with anyone who is sick within the past 14 days.

Research what vendors and products will be at the market at www.unionsquaremain.org/2020-season

Pre-order and prepay vendors as much as possible.

Make a shopping list for any additional items before visiting the market.

Designate one "Market Champion" per household to attend the market.

Reserve a time slot for shopping on our website.

Leave my furry friends at home unless they're service animals.

Put on my most fashionable face covering.

Be on the lookout for signs with additional information at the market and ask friendly market staff and volunteers for any clarification, if needed.

Use the provided hand sanitizer upon entrance and exit of the market area.

Avoid touching my eyes, nose, mouth, and face in general.

Look for physical markers that indicate social distancing and follow them!

Embrace touchless shopping by asking vendors to select the products I'm purchasing.

Let friendly waves replace my normal chatting and catching up with vendors and other community members.

Be the most responsible shopper I can possibly be!
