Behind the Techniques:
an interdisciplinary dance & film workshop
Behind the Techniques is a generative dance x filmΒ workshop for curious creatives, dancers, film makers, and
digital magicians who are interested in developing collaborative skills in this
process-based skill share.
*Come prepared with an idea, concept for in front of camera
and behind the camera aspects! We will be using our voices, bodies, and camera
equipment!*
Moonyeka will be leading participants through a dance and movement process that considers the camera and digital ideas. Participants will βtry onβ a Harana dance phrase. Amori & Moonyeka will guide participants to try on the phrase both behind the camera and in front of the camera.
Amori will be leading a hands-on process for how to choreograph camera movements in collaboration with dancers. Workshop attendees are invited to bring their own camera equipment - whether itβs a DSLR, camcorder, or your phone! We will also provide limited iPads/tablets for use.

Attendees will walk away with movement and/or film based material to continue generating.
