Digital Resources Survey
My name is Jennifer Melnick, and I am a graduate student enrolled in the Master of Library and Science program at Southern Connecticut State University.  This study is part of my Special Project required for graduation.  The purpose of this research study is to examine whether or not schools are curating more digital resources since the pandemic began, and whether or not those items are circulating more frequently.  Your participation in this research study is completely voluntary.  If you choose to participate, you may skip any questions which you do not wish to answer.  You may also discontinue taking the survey at any time, and you will not be penalized.  The survey should take no more than 30 minutes to complete.

By completing the survey, the participant acknowledges they are informed about the procedure and purpose of the research study.  Also, they are aware that the responses will remain confidential.  If the participant has any questions on any aspect of this study that is unclear to them, you may contact Jennifer Melnick at melnickj1@southernct.edu.  If you have questions regarding your rights as a research participant, you may contact the SCSU Institutional Review Board at (203) 392-5243 or hauseltw1@southernct.edu.  For a full explanation of the research study visit the following link to view the cover letter: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CfMHDjB1BPrntvWm4Tz83EFx8KTe5u5TIzVHsbRPA3A/edit?usp=sharing

Circulation of Digital Resources (Pre-Pandemic 2019-2020)
You will be required to run several circulation reports to answer the following questions below.  To view circulation usage rates for the previous school year, run an eContent Usage Report in Follett Destiny.

For the first report, the range set forth under “Date,” will be the first day of school for your district, and the end date will be March 14, the last day of in-person learning for students in Connecticut schools.  Under “Material Type,” participants must select “all,” which includes: Follett eBook, Public Library eBook, Audiobook or Interactive eBook.  Under “Checkout Type,” participants must select “all,” which includes “Online” (checked-out Follett eBooks and audiobooks) and “Read/Play Online.”  Under “Patron Type,” participants should select students and staff.  Finally, for “Last Name,” participants should include all students and staff, so the range of names should be A through Z.

Please type N/A, if any of the questions are not applicable.
