2026 Women in the Tetons - Go Your Own Way Winter Scholarship
Women in the Tetons wants to help you fund your next adventure, outdoor education course, competition, project, or other mountain pursuit! This can be for a summer or winter experience as long as it's completed by the end of 2026. It’s time to dream big! Through this scholarship, you can apply for funding to do almost anything that aligns with the Women in the Tetons' Scholarship Program values: pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, trying new pursuits, and becoming smarter, safer, and more confident in the mountains. The funding provided by this program and the number of scholarships awarded will depend upon the number of applications received.
Scholarship are awarded across 3 categories:
Adventure: A mountain pursuits trip, equipment, or an experience that is out of reach without some financial support. Examples are: a guided trip up the Grand, funding towards an adventure film that a woman wants to produce or outdoor adventure gear to begin a new pursuit.
Career Advancement: A course or certification that helps a woman further their career goals in outdoor pursuits. Examples might be Pro level avalanche courses or Wilderness First Responder Certification.
Education: This for anyone who would like to enjoy the mountains safer and with more knowledge that is separate from courses needed for your career. Examples might include Avy 1, Avy 2 mountain bike courses, Wilderness First Aid course, or climbing courses to improve skills.
Who Can Apply: All women (transgender and cisgender) 18 years and older as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community are welcome and encouraged to apply for Women in the Tetons' (WITT) scholarships!
To be considered and be competitive, please be thorough on the following application and provide detail in your responses, and submit before the deadline. The WITT Board will evaluate all applications.The deadline for applications is
Oct 31, 2025 and you will be notified by the middle of December of our decision.
Fine Print:
• Number of scholarships awarded: Dependent upon the applications received.
• Applicants Adventure, Advancement, or Education must be completed by the end 2026. You can use your award towards a late year program in 2025, for example a December 2025 Avy 1 course. Award will be revoked if not used by the end of 2026.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Applicants must be current residents of Teton, Sublette, or Lincoln County, Wyoming, or Teton Valley, Idaho.
• Recipients will be reimbursed with scholarship funds after showing proof of participation, completion, and expenses.
• Recipients are required to sign a contract agreeing to the terms of the scholarship. This contract includes the submission of one blog post with accompanying pictures after their scholarship is complete, and helping with future WITT events.
• By submitting this application, applicants agree to receive WITT marketing materials.
