This year has been especially hard on colleagues in our profession as library staff have dealt with the effects of COVID-19 in our area. Many of us have had to endure a fight with COVID-19 or know a friend or loved one that has. Some have experienced furloughs or layoffs. The prospect of paying dues to our member-based organization may have seemed less important than putting food on a family table or making financial ends meet.

Thanks to an Anonymous Donor, the Nassau County Library Association is now able to provide a limited amount of fully paid memberships to those among us that have been struggling.
