Get Embodied Soul Movement (GEM) is hosting a PAID leadership and artistic development sanctuary to support BIPOC, cultural, spiritual, and social dancers as they advance in their creative and professional work. These 4 day gatherings will be an opportunity to build relationships with other dancers, share and learn from other's skills and practices, while engaging in leadership and community engagement methodologies taught by fat, Black, and disabled dancer and leadership trainer, Ifasina Clear. Participants will be invited to devote some focused time on their dance practice in a supportive environment created especially for cultural, social, and spiritual dance styles. There is an option to explore the dance and arts scene in the host city of your state. Then we will gather in space together for 4 days focusing on your leadership, creative practice and artistry, and the relationship to your body-mind connection in an environment that centers fat, BIPOC, and disabled dancers.
