Please note that CodeIt is an 8-week program. Classes are held ON MIT CAMPUS on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm, starting on February 29 and ending on April 25 (exact dates below). We will not have class on March 28 due to Spring break, and we will have mentor training on February 22 from 10 AM - 3 PM.
APPLICATIONS CLOSE WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12th, 2020 at 11:59 PM.
Preferred email address:
Why are you interested in being a mentor for CodeIt?
What experience do you have working with kids?
What teaching/mentoring experience do you have?
Please check the sessions you are NOT available to attend. Each session will be 4 hours long (11am-3pm), which includes a 30-minute lunch break (food will be provided). Mentors will be asked to attend a 30-minute prep session before and a 30-minute debrief session after each class. Though this is not officially binding, consistent mentor attendance is very important in establishing good connections with the students. Availability does play a role into selecting mentors, and we would expect you to attend all the sessions you say you can attend unless you provide a legitimate reason beforehand as to why you need to be absent on a certain day.
