Amanda Abounader

Amanda Abounader is a Secondary Science Teacher at Minnesota Math and Science Academy, where she develops and delivers engaging curriculum in subjects including Earth and Space Science, Biology, Medical Terminology, Botany, Astronomy, and Environmental Science. She is passionate about supporting student growth and creating meaningful learning experiences in the classroom.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor from Northland College and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (Life Science, Grades 9–12) through Bethel University. Her academic and professional background reflects a strong commitment to education, student success, and continuous learning.

Amanda is seeking to serve on the MMSA Board of Directors because she cares deeply about the quality of education in the community and wants to be part of the planning and decision-making that shapes the success of students. She values collaboration and looks forward to working alongside fellow board members to support educational initiatives and student achievement.

In addition to her teaching experience, Amanda has worked in roles supporting youth development and enrichment and is fluent in both English and French. She is dedicated to contributing to the continued growth and success of the MMSA school community.
