PAA International Conference 2026 - Liability Waiver

Event Name: PAA International Conference 2026 Location: Mannheim, Germany Date: 15–17 May 2026

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in the Conference may involve certain risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, or property damage resulting from activities, interpersonal interactions, or the conditions at the event venue. I voluntarily accept and assume full responsibility for all such risks arising from my attendance and participation.

Limitation of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Conference, I hereby release and waive, to the extent permitted by applicable law, any and all claims of liability against the event organizers, including their affiliates, volunteers, employees, and agents (hereinafter collectively referred to as "the Organizers"), for any loss, injury, damage, or harm that I may suffer in connection with the Conference, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence. This release applies to claims arising from ordinary negligence ("gewöhnliche Fahrlässigkeit") of the Organizers, provided such exclusion is legally permissible.

Health and Safety

I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate in the Conference and will act in accordance with all health and safety guidelines issued by the Organizers or local authorities in Mannheim, Germany. I will inform the Organizers in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or other relevant needs that may affect my participation.

Personal Conduct

I agree to behave respectfully and responsibly throughout the Conference and to follow the principles of the 12-Step program, as well as any rules or instructions issued by the Organizers. I acknowledge that the Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant without refund if their behavior is considered seriously disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the spirit of the event.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany ("Bundesrepublik Deutschland"). The courts of Mannheim shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising in connection with this agreement, to the extent permitted by law.

Acknowledgment

I confirm that I have read and understood this Liability Waiver in full. I am signing it freely and voluntarily without pressure or inducement. I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age and that all information I provide is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that providing false information may result in exclusion from the event.
