Important Information/Guidelines for Your Application

SOCAN members are entitled to one stay per year at each SOCAN House. For example, a member who stayed at the SOCAN House in Los Angeles in May 2025 would not be eligible to stay there again until January 2026, but may stay at another SOCAN House during 2025.

A stay request must not be submitted to SOCAN more than 3 months before the desired stay date. If you are selected for a stay at one of the SOCAN Houses, we will notify you approximately 4 - 6 weeks before your stay begins.

Availability for each SOCAN House is shown in the online calendar at socan.com. Please check the online calendar to view availability and submit your stay request as early as possible (but no more than 3 months in advance, as noted above). Please note:

SOCAN offers these stays to members who, in our opinion, will benefit most from the stay. Therefore, stays are not assigned on a “first come, first served” basis when multiple requests are received for the same period.

The SOCAN Houses may be unavailable during major events or conferences in those cities. While SOCAN makes every effort to mark these unavailable periods in the online calendar, you may be informed that your requested stay dates are no longer available after your request has been received. In such cases, SOCAN will offer you the opportunity to request alternative dates.

The duration and maintenance fees for each stay are as follows:

SOCAN House Los Angeles: 7 days – $300 US

SOCAN House Nashville: 7 days – $200 US

All stays begin on Sunday. Check-in is after 4 PM (local time) on Sunday, and check-out must be before 11 AM (local time) the following Sunday.

In other words, the maximum stay at all SOCAN Houses is from 4 PM Sunday to 11 AM the next Sunday.

If you are selected for a SOCAN House stay, we will inform you of the deadline to pay the required maintenance fee to secure your reservation.

If you wish to stay longer than the above durations, please indicate this on your application or submit your request as soon as possible if your stay has already been approved.

SOCAN reserves full discretion to approve such requests and may require additional maintenance fees for extended stays.

Occupancy at all SOCAN Houses is limited to 1-2 ppl, including yourself. If your guest is also a SOCAN member, please include their name and member number on your application.

SOCAN members and their guests must respect the owner and the spaces. Members and guests are expected to behave professionally and courteously. Members and guests must comply with SOCAN House guidelines regarding security, parking, and other matters as required by the owner or SOCAN.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in being prohibited from staying at any SOCAN House.
