Madison Magazine BBQ Festival

The Madison Magazine 2017 BBQ Festival will be held on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 in Sauk City. Please fill out the volunteer form below and select the time slot that works for you. We will then match you with a volunteer position. Volunteer shifts are approximately 3-4 hours long.

What are the perks? As a volunteer, you receive a $30 Food Fight gift card*, a BBQ Fest t-shirt and a drink voucher to be used before or after your shift. If you work two consecutive shifts, you will receive a food voucher and two drink vouchers.

Want to be the boss? Let us know in the “Additional Comments” section. We are looking for responsible volunteers to manage other volunteers in a specific area. We request you work two shifts. And you get to use a walkie talkie!

*You will be able to use this gift card at any time at any of Food Fight’s 19 restaurants. You will receive the gift card at the BBQ Festival after you finish your volunteer shift.

    Release Waiver of Liability

    I am fully aware, and hereby acknowledge, that work of the kind I have voluntarily agreed to undertake as part of the Madison Magazine BBQ Festival project involves inherent risks and dangers. Some of the work I may undertake may involve strenuous physical activity, and with this knowledge, I hereby state that I am physically capable and prepared to perform such work, and that I have no health-related conditions that will or ought to restrict my participation in this event. I understand and acknowledge that only employees of Morgan Murphy Media are allowed and authorized to operate motorized vehicles during this event. If I am not currently employed by Morgan Murphy Media I am not authorized to operate a motor vehicle at any time during the project and event. In consideration of being permitted to participate in this project/event, I hereby assume all risks and responsibilities in any way associated with or inherent in my participation therein. I also agree to waive, release and forever discharge Madison Magazine (sponsor) and their respective owners, related parties, managers, shareholders, agents, representatives, assigns, successors and heirs (hereinafter “Station”) from any and all claims, causes of actions, liabilities, damages or the like that I might have arising out of or relating to my presence at or participation in the Madison Magazine BBQ Festival project, including without limitation, whether caused by the negligence of Station or otherwise, and whether such harms were foreseeable. This waiver and release is made on behalf of myself as well as my heirs, executors or administrators, with the intent that Station is held harmless from any potential claim or liability arising from my participation in the event/project. I further agree not to bring any legal actions against Station based upon my participation in the event/project, and agree to indemnify Station should any other person or entity commence legal against either of them as a result of my negligent acts or omissions. By signing below, I hereby authorize and permit the use of visual/audio images of me by Station in broadcasts, web sites, publications, promotions, advertisements, posters, and presentations, without my review or inspection, as they hereby granted all rights related thereto. I agree that in the event that nay part of this Waiver and Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions herein. I have carefully read this Waiver and Release, understand its contents, and am signing this document on my own free will.
