These positions are for allies who have a passion for social justice issues and can volunteer up to 10 hours per week, pro bono. Given the rapid pace of change in our early stage mutual aid group, we are seeking someone who has a flexible work schedule that allows them to be available quickly to assist with time-sensitive tasks.
- Vary between positions.
- Attend team meeting every Sunday to update on ongoing projects or take new assignments.
- Meet bi-weekly with designated department lead in one-on-one meeting to discuss ongoing tasks.
- Strong communication with all team members involved in projects.
Skills and experience:
- Strong written communication skills (option to provide writing sample below)
- Background in customer service preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Website Developer & Maintenance:
-Perform regular updates and maintenance on Wix hosted website.
-Ensure website messaging matches current campaign dates and messaging.
-Work with Social Media Organizer and Graphic Designer to ensure imagery and content are consistent across platforms.
-Develop website benchmarks, SEO strategy, and create/maintain reporting cadence.
-Troubleshoot problems, assist team members in accessing appropriate portions of the site.
-Communicate clearly with team members on needs, expectations, projects, and recommendations.
-Optional: Assist in email marketing through Mailchimp.
- Fulfill requests from Snack Sack families to receive shipments of snacks and other essentials.
- Monitor and respond to social media inquiries.
-Flexible schedule preferred to assist in time-sensitive tasks.
- General assistance with founders' schedule and other administrative tasks.
Blog / Short Form Writer
-Create and publish content on website consistent with branding and approved messaging.
-Develop site content strategy to support overarching marketing and campaign goals.
-Establish blog standards, benchmarks, cadence, and target goals.
-Provide updates to social media organizer for publishing on social channels; establish cohesive messaging system to increase website traffic, SEO, etc.
-Create customized designs in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc., consistent with branding and approved messaging.
-Support Social Media Organizer, Website Developer, and Blog Writer with tailored imagery.
-Review past designs to guarantee consistency.
-Maintain open communication with team on expectation of turnaround and production dates.
