Post Growth Entrepreneurship translates New Economics (Post Growth, Degrowth, and Doughnut Economics) into practical applied entrepreneurship principles. PGE asks fundamental questions like: “Is growth always good?”, “Do I need investment for my startup?” and “Why is the exit our definition of success?” It also introduces the concept of Non-Extractive Finance, which explores how to reinvent Venture Capital and Investment.

Post Growth Entrepreneurship was launched at the University of Amsterdam Business School for 6 European Credits points in Jan-Feb 2023. The 2024 PGE class is "sold out" (fully enrolled with 120 third-year bachelor students) for the second year in a row!

Post Growth Entrepreneurship is spreading! The Degrowth Masters at the Autonomous University of Barcelona will be featuring "Degrowth Entrepreneurship" in their 2024 degree program. Have you considered adding (aspects of) PGE to your business school and/or incubator curriculum?

Dr. Melanie Rieback is CEO/Co-founder of Radically Open Security (the world's first not-for-profit computer security company) and "Post Growth" startup incubator Nonprofit Ventures. She is also a former Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Free University of Amsterdam.
