MARSHALL COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION ACCEPTABLE USE DOCUMENT
The Marshall County Board of Education offers employees of the Marshall County School System, who need it, access to the internet and electronic mail (email) as educational tools. Access to the internet gives employees the opportunity to explore libraries, databases, and educational resources while exchanging messages with users throughout the world. We believe the benefits to our employees exceed any disadvantages. The Board of Education has developed policies 4.406, 4.407, 4.404 and 1.805 to guide employees in the proper use of the internet, email, and web pages. It is the employees’ responsibility to read these policies independently in order to be aware of their content. In addition to these documents, administrative procedures have been written and posted on the district webpage (www.k12marshall.net). The Marshall County School System will hold at least one public meeting per year in which the public may address current and proposed technology protection measures, Internet Safety classes taught in school, and to discuss the Acceptable Use Policy.
INTERNET AND E-MAIL POLICY

Access can be revoked at any time if network security or protocol is compromised.

No inappropriate material that could be construed as obscene or otherwise offensive will be accessed ever. All internet accessible hardware should run virus protection software at all times.
