'Why is it so challenging to care for people who need help?' by Dr Richard Cosway
As part of our 'Volunteers Week' celebrations, Dr. Richard Cosway, clinical psychologist, will be presenting his knowledge of the interaction of mental health issues, trauma and personality issues with long term physical health conditions. Richard has previous worked at RIDU (Regional Infectious Diseases Unit) at The Western General Hospital, with patients living with HIV and Hepatitis C.

This presentation will give us a deeper understanding of the behaviours we might encounter from the service users we support and also, how we then look after ourselves when presented with them.

The talk begins at 6pm, but doors will be open from 5.30pm. Refreshments will be available before and after the talk and there will be plenty of time to mingle with other volunteers.

Please complete your details below to notify us that you will be attending the talk to be held on Monday 10th June 2019, 5.30pm -8.30pm, at our office at 139 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4JY.
