BIPOC Scholarship Lottery for 8 Week Class at Cascade Ceramics
We are excited to announce the opportunity for two class scholarship options for folks identifying as BIPOC.

One recipient will be chosen per scholarship, BIPOC artists can select to apply for both:
  • BIPOC Scholarship - opportunity is for individuals identifying as Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color, to have an 8 week class of their choice fully funded.
  • BIPOC identifying, and underrepresented communities Sliding Scale Scholarship - This is a pay what you can opportunity. Sliding scale can range from $5 - $200(half of the price of a class). Scholarships are intended for those who would otherwise not be able to afford to take a class.
Scholarship recipient of Sept - Oct. 2024 classes will be selected at Noon on Friday 8/9, and have until noon 8/10 to reply so we can save a spot for you in the class, (before class registration opens to the public and classes begin to sell out). We will reach out to you by text & email.

If the recipient has not responded in 24 hours, the spot will be forfeited and a new recipient will be contacted. Some classes will still be available, but selection becomes more limited as classes sell out.

The winner of each scholarship will be chosen randomly.
Applications will carry over to future class sessions.

Please feel free to reach out with any other suggestions or feedback. We are looking forward to creating more equitable pottery & art opportunities to come, as this is just a starting place to creating opportunities like this for underrepresented communities.
