Otis McCreery Outstanding Service Award Submission Form
Otis McCreery was a founding member of NWASAP (formerly Northwest College Personnel Association) and became its first president in 1940. A 1924 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Dr. McCreery, held a variety of positions in higher education including Dean of Men at Drake University, Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Minnesota, Dean of Men at Washington State University, and Chairman of the Pennsylvania State Board of Education. The Otis McCreery award was established in 1987 to honor his many contributions to the profession.

It is presented each year to a student affairs professional who meets the following criteria:
• Contributes in an outstanding way to the student affairs profession
• Displays integrity, stature, and demonstrated ability on his/her campus in such a way that faculty, staff, and alumni will take pride in the recognition
• Provides service beyond the expectation of the nominee's position on campus and/or in the community
• Exhibits qualities and values consistent with the philosophy and orientation of NWASAP (Read more about us)
• Encourages colleagues to pursue their personal and professional growth and development
