JadEnvi New Perspectives on Environment, Capitalism, and Politics Registration
This one-day workshop and public-facing keynote fosters new directions in the critical study of the environment in the Middle East and North Africa.

In the first portion of the workshop (Oct 13, 10am-2:35pm EST/3pm-7:35pm GMT) we will discuss works-in-progress from multiple disciplines all focusing on the themes of climate, capitalism, and politics in the MENA, with feedback from discussants and group commentary. Presenters will discuss pre-circulated papers, papers will be briefly presented during the session to maximize time for discussion. Papers may not be circulated or cited beyond this workshop.

In the second part of the workshop (Oct 13, 3:00pm-4:30pm EST/8:00pm-9:30 GMT) we will shift to a webinar format for a keynote by Munira Khayyat followed by Q&A.
