The Gig:
Patchwork Adventures is seeking facilitators for our games. Facilitators will host various virtual teambuilding games, including: escape games, murder mysteries, game shows, trivia games, hybrid games, learning/development games, improv activities, and DEI games. Facilitators will take notes of the gameplay, act as a character in the game, give hints and nudges when needed and recap the highlights of the game with the team.

Must-haves:
Reliable internet connection in a quiet location
A laptop that can run video-chats (Usually Zoom or Google Hangouts)
Great attitude and customer service
Love of games and people in general
Experience in acting, improv or role-playing games
Must be able to follow a script, but also improvise during an interaction
Problem-solving skills
Quick learner
Responsible human who would never flake on an event that we have booked

Great-to-haves:
Experience in corporate team-building facilitation
Experience GMing escape rooms
Experience acting in interactive/immersive experiences, especially over Zoom

We're also looking for IRL/Hybrid game hosts in the SF Bay Area, Austin Tx or Boston Ma. Please let us know if you're in any of those locations in the "Anything else we should know about you?" box.

Pay: Facilitators will be paid starting at $100 per game they facilitate. Our goal is to find consistent, great facilitators and to establish a long-standing relationship with them. There's also a 10% referral kickback for any clients that you send our way. This is a contract position and facilitators who earn over $600 annually will receive a 1099 tax form.

Time commitment: This is a gig and we recognize that you’ll have other gigs and commitments. We will send out any openings weekly and if it fits your schedule, then we will schedule you as the facilitator. Games might occur at various odd hours (depending on the time zone of the players), but will frequently be during business hours (in the USA), Wednesday through Friday. Games will take between 60 min and 2 hours. And facilitators are expected to spend approximately 30 minutes preparing for the game, as well as 10 minutes for a post mortem write-up of the game.

Frequency: Frequency of booking gigs depends on your availability and on how many clients/players we get. Most days, there's no bookings, and then some days, there might 5 or more games. We're currently hiring for our holiday rush. Last year, we hosted over 200 games in the two weeks right before Christmas.

Application process:
Please fill out this form and we will get back to you. We'll schedule a short videochat interview and if we decide to move forward, we'll find a time for onboarding. Onboarding of facilitators will consist of an unpaid training video-chat of approx 2 hours where you'll play the game, we will go through the gameplay, how to give hints strategically, and how to recap with the team.
