WHAT: The opportunity to learn hand-on skills while earning a minimum of 30 volunteer/community service hours with Roseneath Theatre in the areas of production, marketing, education and administration. Youth Leaders will have the opportunity to meet and work with professional theatre artists, assist in leading our children’s drama programs and participate in all aspects of a professional theatre company that serves 100,000 young people across North America every year. In addition to learning through service to the company, participants will receive a minimum of 10 hours of professional drama & leadership training during the year of the program. At the conclusion of the program year, participants will receive letters of recommendation and references to help them in their future job searches and they may apply for any available paid summer employment with Roseneath Theatre. Youth may re-apply to stay with the program each year until they graduate from high school. There is no financial cost to participants. Space is limited.
WHEN: A minimum of 30 volunteers hours distributed throughout the school year (and sometimes in the summer). Each student can tailor their schedule to best fit their needs and availability. There will be approximately 3-4 workshop sessions for professional drama and leadership training for our youth leaders. These will take place either on weekday evenings or weekends TBC.
