Izzy Salangsang Sibling Scholarship
Izzy Salangsang greeted every day with love and laughter.  He was brave, kind and smart and he was the pride of joy of his parents Les and Lory, was forever looked after by his older sister Elory and will be fondly remembered by his younger sister Selena. With the approval of the Salangsang family, DDSA created in 2024, the DDSA Sibling Scholarship in memory of young Izzy.


2 Izzy Salangsang Sibling Scholarships will be awarded per year. This scholarship is open to any student that is soon to be enrolled/currently enrolled in a college/university program, whose family has a current DDSA membership and has a sibling with Down Syndrome. Current DDSA membership prior to scholarship
submission is required. Proof of College/University enrollment is also expected upon request. The Izzy Salangsang Sibling Scholarship Committee (ISSSC) will follow fair and transparent practices when making their two selections. Successful candidates (two candidates) will be contacted by the ISSSC directly.

For 2024-25 school year, the scholarship amount is $250. All applicants must be a current
member of DDSA. Membership deadline is April 30 th 2024. Application deadline is May 31 st ,
2024.
