Caterpillar Interest Form

Chrysalis (the youth equivalent to Walk to Emmaus) is a method of Christian renewal in the Church. You should have an active desire to deepen your faith and understanding of God's love and to become closer to Christ in your daily life. We recommend you be actively participating in the youth activities of an established church; however, youth who would be receptive to Christian teachings are also welcome on Chrysalis. It is designed to encourage youth to become friends with Christ and continue knowing the source for all the answers: God and God alone. When you come to Chrysalis, you start as a caterpillar, but you leave as a butterfly (symbolically of course). There are no secrets on Chrysalis, just special blessings. There are fifteen talks on Christian living, worship services, and times of prayer.

Ask your sponsor when this year's flight weekends are scheduled to occur at Blackstone Conference & Retreat Center. Events begin after dinner on Thursday and end around dinner time on Sunday. The only cost to youth caterpillars is $30. All other costs (lodging, meals, transportation, etc.) will be covered by sponsors in the Southside Community.

Questions? Email southsidechrysalis@gmail.com and someone will be in touch. Thank you for your interest in Chrysalis. Once your interest has been verified, the selection committee will provide you and your parent/guardian(s) the complete application packet. You will also need a sponsor, which is someone who has previously attended a Chrysalis or Emmaus event.
