Ann Marano has served as Executive Director at Colleges That Change Lives since 2021. Before stepping into this role, Ann served as the College Bound Advisor at the Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School in Dallas, TX. Her work there earned her the distinction of being selected for the Counselor That Changes Lives Award in 2017. She also has experience working in admissions at her alma mater Mount St. Mary’s University (CA), California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, and California State University East Bay, and as a school counselor at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks.

Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) is a non-profit organization that supports students in their college search by helping them find a college that develops a love of learning and prepares them for a successful life after college.   CTCL's mission is to help students, families, and counselors remember that the college search should be student-centered.

CTCL's member schools are independent institutions that range in size from around 100 to 3,000 students. Some examples of CTCL member schools include: Denison University, St. Olaf College, Rhodes College, Reed College, and University of Puget Sound.
