Sign on to show your support for the 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan’s Kids and Farms Program!
Since the program’s beginning in 2016, the 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan’s Kids and Farms program has grown and produced quite an impact on Michigan's children and agricultural economy. As the program expands, it is important that the language in the state budget addresses the needs of all those that come together to feed our children and grow our food.
Join us and show support for the 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan’s Kids and Farms Program and request that the Michigan Legislature consider strengthening the program in the 2024-25 Michigan State Budget. 10 Cents a Meal is Michigan’s local food incentive program implemented by the Michigan Department of Education. The program provides schools, early care and education centers, and other organizations participating in USDA Child Nutrition programs with match funding up to 10 cents per meal to purchase and serve Michigan-grown fruits, vegetables, and dry beans.
When you fill out the form below, your name will be added on to this letter, showing support for the improvements being made to support a strong local food system, our farmers, and children, across the state.
Thank you for your support in this effort! We also ask that you share this sign-on request with other organizations and people in your network who support a strong local food system.
