Background
The sustainable and rapid reduction of maternal, newborn and child deaths and overall improved access to quality services in sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, adolescent health and nutrition is a priority in Tanzania. Tanzania has committed to several international and regional goals to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the commitment is reflected in national development and health policies like Tanzania Vision 2025 and HSSP V 2021-2025. The Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health of 2016-2030 guide interventions in One Plan III in such a way nobody is left behind to achieve the SDGs by 2030. The three pillars of ‘’Survive, Thrive and Transform’’ guide the RMNCAH and Nutrition interventions in this pla in line with the National Plan for Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health & Nutrition (2021/2022 - 2025/2026) One Plan III framework of action in this regard Imara Leadership Initiative (ILI) Tanzania aims to engage young people across the United Republic of Tanzania as champions for RMNCAH.
About the 'RMNCAH Youth Champions Program
The Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Adolescent Health Youth Champions program is a two years volunteer role in professional health development and leadership
opportunity for young changemakers with a proven record of accomplishment in mobilizing other young people, influencing decision makers to have a positive impact in their community.
We are looking to establish the 1st cohort of 'RMNCAH Youth Champions Program' to help drive
conversations in i) Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, ii) Quality of care in implementation of RMNCAH interventions, iii) Technologies and innovations in RMNCAH services and iv) Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.

'The RMNCAH Youth Champions Program Commitments
As RMNCAH youth champions from Tanzania you commit to the following activities:
- Be an active member of a youth led organization ( possess skills in leadership on RMNCAH matters as a community worker , online influencer or creative enthusiast.
- Participate in the 'The RMNCAH Youth Champions Program' online meetings once every quarter and in-person meetings / conferences when available.
- Help to raise educational awareness about the 'National Plan for Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health & Nutrition (2021/2022 - 2025/2026) One Plan III.
- Take part in RMNCAH in country trainings, outreach activities and campaign opportunities online and offline.
- Be an active 'RMNCAH Youth Champion' in Tanzania.
