Cost: $5.00 (down from $18.00 in years past)
Pay at: www.givemn.org/organization/Seward-Neighborhood-Group
NEW EVENT PRICE: This year participating in the event is only $5.00! Down from $18.00 in years past. Why? a big part of this is I will not be running yard signs and letters around to folks which is a big time saver given that there are shy of 100 yard sales. The other part is that we saving paper and creating a fully digital yard sale map and guide (more info below).
NEW MAP FORMAT: SNG will promote your garage sale on the official SNG digital map which patrons can pull up on their phones, print off themselves, and give you more flexibility for representing your sales. Sharing the location of the garage sales this way also allows us to include more information about your garage sale seamlessly into the map.
The Final Draft of the Map will be made available on Friday, May 10th. Drafts of the map will be sent out to all who have registered by May 1st so people have time to look the map over and get used to it.
These two changes will mean that your new friendly Neighborhood Organizer - Sam Graf - will spend less time chasing down the 50+ folks giving letters, maps, and yard signs to folks and more time doing the fun work of promoting your sale.
PICKING UP YOUR YARD SIGN: Sam Graf, the Seward Neighborhood Organizer will reach out to all who register with a follow up email. He will include the times and dates that you will be able to come by the office to pick up and borrow a SNG yard sign if you so choose!
DONATING LEFTOVER MERCH TO THE EPILEPSY FOUNDATION: For many, the garage sale is a chance to accelerate spring cleaning and find a new home for objects that will be more valued by someone else. A way to ensure that you don’t have to backpedal on those goals after the garage day sale is over is to find a guaranteed home for your objects while also donating to a great cause. If you choose to donate - the Epilepsy Foundation will pick up your donations on Wednesday May 22. Please read the attached information from the Epilepsy Foundation about what you are able to donate and how to prepare donations for pick up.
RAINY DAY BACKUP: It happens, a perfectly good garage sale weekend can be cast under a thunderstorm. If this happens the garage Sale Weekend will be pushed back to May 24th and 25th. This call will be made by the folks at SNG with advice from everyone participating.
If you have questions or comments about the new map or what our paperless promotion will look like - please feel free to reach out to Sam Graf at email@example.com
