HEART GIFTS

*

You will be participating in a Sweat Lodge Ceremony during the weekend so please bring 1 Heart Gift for the Sweat Lodge Dance Chief and 2 Heart Gifts for Fire Crew.

The concept of 'Heart Gifting' is a traditional shamanic way of honouring energy exchange in both the tonal (everyday physical reality) & nagual (all spiritual levels).

Heart Gifts equalize the exchange of unseen energy invested on your behalf by the Dance Chief / Ceremonial Facilitator & Apprentices who offer themselves in service.

The Heart Gift is an expression of appreciation & acknowledgment, to honour & equalize the exchange of energy invested on your behalf by the Dance Chief / Ceremonial Facilitator and Apprentices. Fees are charged for tuition, consultations, venue, upkeep, utilities, facilitators, organisational time & materials. There is never a fee charged for Ceremony, a Heart Gift is the exchange.

Heart Gifts are just that – a gift from your heart, it can include something that is created, bought, that you have in abundance or hard cash.

When choosing a heart gift, it is helpful to ask yourself if you would be happy to receive what you are giving & if you feel balance in the exchange.

To give you an idea, the Fire Crew gives about 5 hours of their time to be of service to those who participate in a Sweat Lodge Ceremony.

A Dance Chief or Ceremonial Facilitator has been extensively trained to hold & support a safe energetic tonal container and navigate the nagual on behalf of those participating in the ceremony.

You can place your Heart Gifts in the baskets provided when you arrive.

FOOD AS AN ACT OF NOURISHMENT

*

🍲 Meals Are a Sacred Offering

Each participant is asked to contribute one meal to nourish the group (8–12 people). This means preparing a meal, presenting it, and handling the clean-up afterwards. It’s a beautiful act of service and celebration, woven into the rhythm of our shared experience.

Once your place is confirmed, you’ll be added to the Bear Lodge WhatsApp Group, where we’ll coordinate meal planning and share practical details.

Your dish should be prepared with love and intention, can be vegetarian or non-vegetarian (we often have all dietary preferences in the group), as long as it is created with conscious care and a spirit of nourishment - for both body and soul. It is not just about feeding each other - it’s about honouring the transformation we’ve walked through together.

🍽️ Kitchen Facilities Available:

Fridge, Gas oven & stove, Microwave, Basic cooking utensils, Dishwashing liquid & cloths, general herbs & spices.

☕ Can I bring drinks or snacks?

Absolutely. You're welcome to bring tea, coffee, herbal infusions, or any personal refreshments you'd like to enjoy throughout your stay.

Thank you for bringing your care and energy into this shared celebration. Your food offering becomes part of the greater ceremony we co-create.
