2016 WLA Preconference Workshop Proposal

Thank you for your interest in presenting a Preconference Workshop for the Washington Library Association's Annual Conference being held April 27-29, 2016 at the historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane, WA.

All preconference workshops will be held on April 27 and may be half-day or full-day in length.
Proposals are due no later than Monday, June 29, 2015.
The program selection committee will notify applicants of their proposal status by August 7.

    Preconference Details

    All Preconference workshops will be held on April 27. Full-day workshops may be 6 or 7 hours with a break for lunch. Half-day workshops may be 3 or 4 hours. Room set-up is classroom style with an LCD projector, screen, and wifi access. LAPTOPS ARE NOT PROVIDED.

    Financial Support Required

    The conference budget is extremely limited. Presenters are encouraged to seek support from their employers to cover the costs of conference participation, or have an Interest Group, Roundtable or other Sponsor cover expenses. However, if additional funding is required please include details below. Lodging arrangements are the responsibility of each Presenter.

    Preconference Workshop Presenter(s)

    The Primary Contact named above is responsible for being the liaison between preconference Presenter(s) and Conference Planners. If proposal is accepted, the Conference Planners will assist the Primary Contact with coordination prior to and during the event. Please note that regarding conference attendance, registration fees are typically waived only for Presenters who will be attending solely to present their own workshop and will NOT be attending any other portion of the conference. Please provide COMPLETE contact information for each presenter. In most cases, we recommend having no more that four presenters. If you need to enter more, please use the final Notes/Comments field.
