How you can help:
We need as many volunteers as we can get this Friday, 11/10) from 5-8:30 pm at the Footprint Center in Downtown Phoenix (exact address to be relayed in the WhatsApp once determined) to help with handing out the nearly 8000 water bottles that we put stickers on last week. You do not need to be there the whole time! Any time you can donate would be extremely appreciated and May it weigh heavy on your scales on the Day of Judgment. Please sign up below if you're interested. And please share this signup everywhere!


Important notes:
  • Do not dress in Palestinian attire. Wear normal clothing. We encourage you to wear a mask as well.
  • If you have a rolling cooler, picnic wagon, or even a backpack, please bring it! You can use it to carry water around with you while you hand it out.
  • The weather will be between 62-72 degrees.

  • If approached by media/anyone just explain we are handing out water to raise awareness for the genocide going on in Palestine. If they have any more questions defer to organizers like Hazim or Yusuf Masud
  • We need as many people as we can get, but we also urgently ask for brothers to show up so sisters feel comfortable given the current climate! 
  • Try to use the light rail if possible!
  • If you want to organize carpools, there is a carpooling Google Sheet in the WhatsApp group chat description.

What we're doing: 
Water for Life!!
Gazans may have a lack of water, but here in the US we would like to bring light to the plight of the Palestinians and specifically the horrific events that have unfolded in Gaza over the last three weeks. Protests serve a purpose, but calculated and targeted information sharing can also serve a purpose.

We bought ~8000 water bottles and placed a sticker on it with a QR code and some information about what's going on in Palestine to raise awareness, set up a canopy and passed out 4000 water bottles at the World Series games at Chase Field. Now we want to pass out more water bottles at the Suns vs Lakers basketball game!
