Treat Plaza is located at the intersection of Treat Ave, 16th St and Harrison St. Public Works, SF Planning, and SFMTA are the agency leads for the plaza and adjacent streetscape improvements. To help the plaza become a vibrant community hub, the agencies have partnered with the nonprofit Livable City to provide maintenance and activation for the first year and to organize a community of stewards to oversee the site into the future.

Livable City began meeting with stakeholders in December 2021 and is now actively seeking nonprofits, small businesses, residents, artists, and community members to join a more formal group of advisors and collaborators to help develop the stewardship, maintenance, and activation plan for the coming year.

For the first year, the program schedule is being planned and presented on a quarterly basis to ensure consistent presence in the plaza while piloting as many types of programs as possible. Basic stewardship of the plaza is to begin in January 2022 followed by the full stewardship and programming schedule beginning in March 2022.
