2025 Summer Camp with Hickory Hill Nature School
Our program is a complete nature immersion, inquiry based, child-led and all-weather program. Our goal is to introduce children to the natural world at an early age and create a positive impact on their mental, physical, and social well-being. We encourage children to interact, explore, play and understand our natural environment. When able to follow their own interest, children will retain and process information more readily.

Nature Immersion is defined by Erin Kenny as “unstructured free time in nature resulting in an intimate, deep and personal connection to the natural world”.

Each session runs Monday through Friday

What To Bring:  All items should be labeled with your child's name!
+ Personal bag with a refillable water bottle and a lunch. 
+ A full change of clothes and a pair of dry shoes
+ Insect Repellant and Sunscreen. 
+ Bathing Suit and Towel 

What to Wear: Appropriate attire includes a hat, boots & clothes that can get muddy as your camper will be engaging in adventures in the woods and stream, and we are outside even in the rain!

I understand that my child must be fully potty trained. A potty trained child is a child who can do the following:1) Be able to TELL the adult they have to go potty BEFORE they have to go. They must be able to say or sign the words “I have to go potty;" 2) Be able to pull down their underwear and pants, and get them back up without assistance; 3) Be able to wipe themselves after using the toilet; 4) Be able to get off the potty by themselves (we do provide a child potty seat insert and a step stool); 5) Be able to wash and dry hands.

If your child has any allergies, please provide details including any medication your child may be required to have at camp. If NO, please write "none" below.

Campers requiring medication on site must complete a Medical Log Form which will be sent to you prior to camp. *
CAMP POLICIES
Absence: If your child is not able to attend on a particular day, please let one of the staff members know as soon as possible.

Sick Policy: We ask parents to screen their child for illness before coming to camp each morning. If your child is showing any signs of illness, please keep them home. We will send children showing signs of illness home. Please refrain from sending in your child if they have experienced vomiting, fever, diarrhea, or croup within the past 24 hours.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up:  Drop off begins 5 min. before the camp start time. Pick up begins 5 min. before the camp end time.

Inclement Weather: We do have indoor space to keep campers in a safe, dry place during unexpected inclement weather (thunderstorms or increasing winds). Our program is conducted in rain or shine, however, sustained winds above 24MPH is a safety hazard. For such cases of severe weather, activities may be modified and moved indoors or programs may be canceled. Parents and caretakers will be notified of a program closure the day before via text. *

I understand that the cost of one week of summer camp is $325.00 to be paid in full by May 23, 2025. Payment can be mailed or sent electronically via Zelle.
