APPLICATION DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 27 (5pm EST)
The President and Board of Harvard Model Congress Asia (HMCA) are delighted to announce that the 2020 HMCA conference has pledged to support outstanding delegates for whom financial need would be a barrier to attendance. Both full scholarships (covers delegate fee, lodging, and transportation costs) and partial scholarships (covers delegate fee) will be awarded. Please note that these scholarships are need-based; they are intended to make the HMCA experience accessible to students of all socio-economic backgrounds and reduce financial barriers to participation.
Scholarship applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- A dedicated interest in the mission of HMCA
- Demonstrated financial need
- Demonstrated academic scholarship
- Demonstrated leadership and public speaking potential
In order to be considered for a scholarship, please submit the following application and the video described therein, and ask your faculty advisor to submit the faculty recommendation form separately. We recommend writing your answers initially in a separate document (e.g. in Word or Pages) before answering in the text boxes below, since your information will not save if you click off this page without submitting your answers!
All applicants are asked to pick a recommender – an adult that knows the student well and that can write a letter of recommendation on the student's behalf. This person can be a teacher, a coach, an employer, etc however they cannot be a member of the student's family. Please send your recommender this link to the recommendation form:
