The aim of the Joan Treble Fund is to promote Scottish Country Dancing in the New York area by encouraging members of RSCDS to improve their skills through participation in training courses and workshops, like Pawling.
To be eligible for scholarship assistance, candidates must:• Be a paid-up member of RSCDS,• Be committed to participating in Scottish Dancing in the New York area,• Have demonstrated a genuine love and interest in Scottish Country Dancing,• Have a desire to improve his/her skills,• Have a demonstrated financial need.
The application must provide:
• Satisfactory information in respect of the eligibility points noted above,• Full information about the costs and expected benefits of participating in the course or workshop, and about any other financial assistance they have received or are seeking,• Level of assistance requested: scholarship amounts will be 50%, 75% or 100%.
Recipient will be required to report on his/her experience for publication in the Branch newsletter.
