ATTENDANCE: Attendance at all classes is mandatory. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.

REWARDS: Upon successful completion of the program, students earn cash rewards. One student will be selected to receive a digital camera.

BACKGROUND: DuBois High School was a segregated black high school that operated in Mt. Hope from 1907 - 1956. In spite of the inequality they faced, many DuBois students made outstanding local, state and national achievements in the fields of science, the arts, medicine, religion, education, the military, public service, and business. DuBois on Main Museum is an educational nonprofit dedicated to honoring the heritage of DuBois. We inform, educate and provide opportunities for inter-generational and interracial gatherings and workshops through exhibits of pictorial, biographical and historical artifacts. This history of a people, place, and time can establish an identity and sense of pride for enrichment of the community.
