Art & Music History in Europe Application
Application Due Date: Monday, May 6th. Incomplete and/or late submissions will not be considered.

Dear Student Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the 2020 Art+Music History Summer Course! Ms. Shrage and I are thrilled that you have taken an interest in both of our courses. We have both spent many hours planning this unique learning and travel experience and we wish you the best of luck.

Because interest in this unique course is very high, we will not have enough spots for each applicant. With that in mind, we advise you to answer the questions below thoughtfully. The written application is the most heavily considered part of the application. Previous travel experience does not strengthen your application. We also look at prior academic performance, participation in visual or performing arts classes, and your general interest in art and music. Also, please know that preference is given to rising seniors. If you are not offered a spot as a rising junior, we encourage you to re-apply the following year.

Please know that financial aid is available for this trip, as it is for all CH travel and enrichment opportunities. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact Eileen Powers in the Admission and Financial Aid office. We cannot answer specific questions about financial aid.

Lastly, the tentative course dates are: June 22nd-26th, 2020 (full 5-day week of campus instruction) and Saturday June 27th (departure) to Friday, July 10th, 2020 (return). Our planned destinations are Florence, Vienna, and Paris. We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary, as well as the dates of the course. Our course dates will be confirmed no later than September of 2019. Please make sure your summer travel plans allow for some flexibility. If you already know that your schedule conflicts with the above dates, you should not apply.

Good luck!
