Which businesses are eligible? Any non-profit or for-profit business or organization that has a presence in and serves clients and/or customers in Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Highlands and/or Hardee Counties. Businesses must be nominated by a member or members of the community based on the company’s demonstration of Superior Customer Service, Exceptional Employee Relations and/or Outstanding Community Service, specifically towards older or disabled adults.
The winner of the Senior-Friendly Business of the Year Award will be chosen by the Senior Connection Center Rise & Shine Planning Committee with help from the Agency’s Board of Directors. Awards will be presented at the Rise & Shine Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Embassy Suites USF in Tampa.
Deadline for submission is April 7, 2017.
The winner will be selected from all eligible entries based on any or all of the following criteria:
Outstanding Customer Service – as it relates to disabled or elderly clients and/or customers and/or
Exceptional Employee Relations – as it relates to the recruiting, hiring, training, accommodating, and maintaining older or disabled workers and/or
Superior Community Service – as demonstrated by a commitment to improving the lives of seniors or disabled adults in their community by supporting employee volunteerism, financial support or advocacy for a cause.
