Overview 

The Kuldīga Service Design Jam is part of the Global Service Jam, a worldwide event happening simultaneously in hundreds of cities. Over an action-packed weekend, participants will form teams🤝, explore a global theme/challenge 🌍, design innovative services ✨, and build prototypes 🛠️ — all within 48 hours!

Design Jams are fun, hands-on, and full of learning opportunities. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned designer, you will deepen creative problem-solving skills, meet like-minded people, and make an impact—through design!

Event Details
📅 Schedule: 9:00AM, Saturday, February 22 – 3:00PM, Sunday, February, 23
⏰ Location: Kuldiga Needle Factory, Kuldīga, Latvia
👤 Participants: Anyone looking to have a fun weekend filled with creativity, problem solving, and learning through design!
🏷️ Cost: Participation is FREE! We’ll provide the materials, equipment, venue, and some refreshments. Just take care of your transportation, meals, and accommodation (we can help find budget-friendly or homestay options). 
🗣️ Language: The event will be in English, as we welcome international participants.

Travel and Arrival Guide

Kuldīga is easily accessible by bus from most major locations in Latvia. We recommend arriving on Friday night so you can settle in and start the Jam refreshed! However, if that’s not possible, here are the details for buses arriving on Saturday morning:

🚌 Liepāja → Kuldīga (~1.5 hours, €4.50)
⏰ 6:15 AM – Departure from Liepāja AO
📍 8:00 AM – Arrival at Kuldīga AO

🚌 Riga → Kuldīga (~2.5–3 hours, €7.80)
⏰ 7:00 AM – Departure from Riga SAO
📍 9:30 AM – Arrival at Kuldīga AO

🚌 Ventspils → Kuldīga (~1.25 hours, €3.50)
⏰ 6:30 AM – Departure from Ventspils AO
📍 7:40 AM – Arrival at Kuldīga AO

🥱 Arriving early and need a place to rest?
If you arrive before your accommodation is available, we’ll have a resting space at the venue where you can safely store your belongings, freshen up, or take a nap before the event starts.
