Free English and Citizenship Classes: Pre-application
Thank you for your interest in the free English and Citizenship program offered at LaGuardia Community College. This evening course helps US Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) to learn English and prepare for the citizenship exam to become naturalized citizens. The course, books, materials, and services are all free for all eligible participants.

The program is offered in partnership with Catholic Migration Services ( who will offer free immigration advisement to fill out the federal N-400 Application for Naturalization. The project is funded by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Eligible participants must be:
--Adults 18 years or older.
--English language learners.
--US Legal Permanent Residents (LPR) with a valid Green Card.
--Able to attend classes in the evening from 6:30-9:00pm
--Interested in preparing for the citizenship exam and filing a N-400 Application for Naturalization.
