Nomination for UNA's Outstanding Nonprofit Leader - 2019
Nonprofit professionals are making a difference in their communities each and every day. They bring with them rich perspectives, passion, and a desire to serve the missions of their organizations.

UNA has always known that out sector is special only because of the talented, thoughtful people who devote their lives to nonprofit work. In recognition of the people who work every day to strengthen, unify, elevate and sustain our communities, UNA began conferring two awards in 2017. We recognize the Outstanding Nonprofit Leader and the Emerging Nonprofit Leader at the UNA Annual Nonprofit Conference. This year’s conference will be on September 26, 2019. If you would like to nominate someone for the 2018 Outstanding Nonprofit Leader award, please continue with this application. If you are nominating someone for the Emerging Nonprofit Leader, please go to this page:

The Outstanding Nonprofit Leader exemplifies the characteristics that make the nonprofit sector instrumental in our communities and in our state. He or she works with passion and compassion to make our communities better places to live and work. Our view of leadership is not a title or a designation. Instead it is about the people who not only persevere in the face of obstacles, but inspire the people around them to dig deeper and work harder to get results. So your nomination need not be for an Executive Director or CEO – although that’s perfectly fine. Regardless of their role, their passion is contagious and their results are impressive. (Please note, if your nominee has five or fewer years in the nonprofit sector, please consider nominating him or her for the Emerging Nonprofit Leader. This award is for individuals. We are unable to consider nominations for couples or groups of volunteers or professionals. )

Nominations will be accepted through Wednesday, July 31, 2019. We will communicate the UNA Annual Conference Committee's decision on this award by mid-August 2019.
