Disclaimer - drapes & blinds
There are some inherent risks when dry cleaning draperies, blinds and shades. If care instructions are affixed to your draperies, it is Greene’s Cleaners, Inc. policy to follow those instructions. Even with proper care procedures, results could be unsatisfactory. Ultra violet damage or “sun rot” may occur when draperies have hung in a window for prolonged periods. Draperies coated with vinyl backing may blister and peel or stick together in the cleaning process. These types of damaged or weakened fibers are flushed away during normal cleaning processes.
Velvet, Chiffon (or transparent) velvet, can become damaged by sheer weight of the material pressing to each other during the cleaning and drying process. A streak like or wrinkle like damage known as crushed velvet is a possibility after the professional cleaning process. Greene’s Cleaners, Inc will professionally clean and dry this material and will take all cautionary measures to ensure damage is avoided.
Shrinkage and forms of damage may also occur when processing draperies. Be assured Greene’s Cleaners, Inc. will care for your draperies with the best professional cleaning method. We will take every precaution cleaning your draperies.
