Thank you to all community members joining the fight to stop the Charter School at 306 W232nd Street. Please sign up below for potential sub-committees to best divide out the work! You may sign up for as many as you wish.

Please note, by signing up for a sub-committee you are NOT signing up for all responsibilities, these represent categories of work. 

Committee #1: Legislative Outreach
  • Share contact information for legal representatives
  • Share letter or email templates to constituents
  • Share and promote phone call script 
  • Coordinate, meet, and call with local officials 
Committee #2: Marketing & Outreach
  • Design and share flyers outlining initiatives and meetings
  • Promote messages in-person or online
  • Manage social media platforms and messages
  • Contact press and news outlets to share stories 
Committee #3: Community Meetings
  • Assist in securing space to hold meetings
  • Share meeting information with the community at large 
  • Prepare sign-in sheets/collect information at meetings
  • Prepare agendas prior to community meetings
  • Write and distribute minutes for meetings
Committee #4: Environmental Impact
  • Examine and raise environmental impact/concerns
  • Research legislation and research studies 
  • Partner with local environmental groups/organizations
