Please read the prompts below, and answer them in one separate document (.docx, .doc, or .pdf). You may upload your document at the bottom OR (if you don't have a Google account) email it separately to Ryan Hilperts at ryzome@uvic.ca. Contact us if you have any accessibility requirements, and we'll be happy to work with you.
ESSAY 1: (~ 1000 words) Please let us know why you want to participate in the Redfish School of Change. Include past activities that have prepared you for this program, the current issue or concern that most sparks your interest, and what skills you hope to learn or experiences you want to have in relation to your future aspirations in creating environmental and social change. What inspires you?

ESSAY 2: (~ 200 words) The Redfish School of Change is an intellectually, physically and emotionally demanding program. You will be living and learning with a group of 18 people for almost 6 weeks — meeting challenges and making decisions together every day. You will complete three academic courses that involve individual assignments and group projects. The program includes outdoor field trips and overnight wilderness experiences of 3–6 days. What do you expect will challenge you the most during this program, and how do you think you might address this/these challenges?
