WV Urban Agriculture Conference & Community Expo: Food Preservation & Canning Workshop -- FRIDAY MAY 3 SESSION
Home canning has changed greatly in the 180 years since it was introduced as a way to preserve food. Scientists have found ways to produce safer, higher quality products. As a participant in this class you will be able to identify the following: canning equipment, food safety steps, hand washing, two types of canning methods, weights and measures, canning for a family of one/two, and different methods to preserve food.
This session is limited to 15 participants. Registration link will be removed when capacity is reached.
