On December 25, 2021, we said goodbye to community hero Candy Palmater.

In collaboration with her family, we are proud to invite you to join us in honouring Candy’s legacy with action:

1-DONATE: In lieu of flowers or gifts, we invite you to make a donation to Candy’s favourite organizations, Native Women's Association of Canada and Wabanaki Two Spirit Alliance. Funds collected will be shared with the organizations and to help support Candy's family.

2-TAKE ACTION: Sign Candy’s letter (below) demanding that the Prime Minister and Premiers fulfills the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Inquiry’s Call for Justice.

3-SHARE YOUR MEMORIES: Each of us have very fond memories of Candy. Please share your stories and photos of Candy. These will be collected into a digital archive for the family and may be used at her Celebration of Life.

4-ATTEND THE CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Sign up to be notified of when Candy’s celebration of life will take place.
