In
accordance with the Library Act, Daxian Library (hereinafter referred to as
"the Library") provides services and informs you of the following
matters in accordance with Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Act.
1. Purpose of Collecting Personal DataTo execute online reservations for equipment and venues, provide access to library resources, manage reservation statuses, and organize promotional activities, the Library needs to obtain your personal data.
2. Categories of Personal Data CollectedThe personal data you provide, such as your name, email address, student ID/faculty ID/alumni library card number, will be properly stored and maintained by the Library. This data will be used solely for identity verification related to services, logging learning certification data, statistical analysis of library services, reservation contact for equipment and venues, and necessary notifications and communications for various services.
3. Period, Area, Targets, and Methods of Using Personal DataYour personal data will be used reasonably within the necessary scope of the aforementioned purposes, solely within the territory of the Republic of China, until the purposes of collection are achieved.
4. Provision of Personal Data(1)You may choose whether to provide your personal data to the Library. However, if you choose not to provide it, or request deletion or cessation of processing/usage after provision and the Library approves such requests, the Library will be unable to process and review the necessary services.
(2)Please provide your accurate and complete personal data. If there are any changes to your personal data, please apply for corrections with the Library. The Library will not be liable for any damages to your rights resulting from incorrect, outdated, incomplete, or misleading data provided by you.
5. Confidentiality of Personal DataThe Library will fulfill its responsibility to protect personal data. In the event of theft, leakage, alteration, or other infringements of your personal data due to natural disasters, incidents, or other force majeure, the Library will notify you by phone, email, or website announcement upon verification of such events.
6. Rights of the Data Subject Regarding Personal DataIn accordance with Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may exercise the following rights concerning your personal data: (1) Inquire or request to view; (2) Request a copy; (3) Request supplementation or correction; (4) Request cessation of collection, processing, or use; (5) Request deletion. However, the Library may refuse requests necessary for the execution of its services.
7. Legal ComplianceThe Library may provide personal data and related information in compliance with legal orders or requests from competent authorities or judicial authorities in accordance with the law.
