American Association of University Professors (AAUP) - MIT Chapter 

From the Chapter Bylaws: Eligibility for membership in this chapter shall extend to any person who holds a professional position of teacher, researcher, graduate student, or related professional appointment, excluding faculty and others who sit on academic council, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who are national members of the American Association of University Professors. 

We also welcome the involvement of anyone who is interested in the issues, whether or not they are members of the AAUP.
