The USD 460 Board of Education would like to collect initial feedback from community members on our school district facilities and how we address facility improvements now and in the future. We make our last payment on the 2002 bond project in September 2022. That means our community and school district would have the ability to consider a new bond project.

We ask anyone who is a resident of USD 460 and is interested in sharing a perspective on this topic to complete this survey by Friday, April 23. The feedback from the survey will provide the Board of Education with important community perspectives on the topic of long-term facility planning.

Prior to completing the survey, please review our Long-Term Facilities Presentation Materials, which can be found on our district website (www.hesstonschools.org) by clicking the link "Long-Term Facilities Planning" on the homepage. It is important to note there are considerable improvements needed related to infrastructure (HVAC, Roofs, Plumbing, Electrical, Emergency Notification Systems) that go beyond our annual capital outlay budget capacity.

USD 460 makes the last payment on the 2002 bond project in September of 2022, and we have facility needs that go beyond our annual capital outlay budget.
