San Diego Anime Con Panelist Registration Form
Thank you for your interest in participating in San Diego Anime Con 2025! SDAC will be taking place on  November 13, 14, and 15, 2026 in San Diego, at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Mission Valley, 7450 Hazard Center Drive, San Diego, California, 92108.

Panelist submissions are now open, with a submission deadline of September 1, 2026. Any submissions received after September 1, 2026 will be placed on a waitlist. 

Panelists will be informed via their provided contact information only if their panel has been accepted September 15, or sooner. 

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the event.  Once your online application is received, you will be contacted for a picture and bio. Panelists are unpaid, but all members of your panel team do get a 3-day badge to the event.

Check more than one if applicable - multiple topics are welcomed. We will give priority to ANIME and ANIME RELATED submissions. Check "Other" and describe if none of the below apply. The more closely associated with ANIME, the greater the likelihood of being chosen.

Are you using any AV equipment beyond a microphone(s), and if so, what? *
We are providing a table, chairs, mics, and either a projector and screen or a large screen. Anything beyond that, you might have to supply, unless previously communicated. Laptop and connectors/adaptors are not guaranteed. 
Is your interest in being the sole facilitator, a panel member, or a moderator? *
Sole facilitator means you are the only panelist or the only one conducting a workshop.

This can change, and you can update us as we approach the event, but this will help us determine event badge distribution.
Please provide a three to four sentence biography. *
This biography will be used for our convention booklet, website, and as your introduction by the moderator to the panel audience. We will be requesting a head shot or logo for the website and program book. Ideally, you would be providing one bio per panelist.
What is your panel/presentation experience? What other conventions or events of a similar nature have your participated in? *

You may choose one or both. Times are not guaranteed and are assigned on a first come, first assigned basis, so choose more than one option. You will be scheduled based on your time preference. Once you are scheduled, there will be no changes to the schedule, so do not pick an option that you cannot do.

1. Panelist indemnifies and agrees to hold the SDAC committee, Silk Road Productions, and all of its committee and volunteers and any associated agencies affiliated with the festival event and their members, officers, directors, and employees, harmless against any and all liability whatsoever arising from any claim made against SDAC committee or loss incurred by panelist as a result of or in any way arising from, relating to, or connected with the obligations identified within application including loss or liability caused by active negligence, except loss or liability caused by sole negligence or willful conduct.  

2. Panelist understands that they may be photographed or video recorded and you agree to allow photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the organizers. 

3. Panelist agrees that if accepted, there is no monetary compensation for presenting. Non-monetary compensation may include an event badge(s). Panelist understands that SDAC does not provide hotel accommodations but will provide a link or information for a discounted room, if one is provided by the hotel. SDAC also does not provide transportation expenses, such as gas, rental car, flights, etc.

4. Panelist presentation MUST NOT contain obscenity, offensive language, must not incite violence or rioting, cannot be racist, sexist, or attack anyone on basis of gender, religion, race, sexual preference, disability, or any sensitive subject that would be offensive. This is a family event, so all presentations must be family friendly (unless this is submitted as an 18+ presentation).

5. This agreement indicates your willingness to abide by all terms, conditions, and general regulations listed on this document as well as such additional rules and regulations as necessary, provided these do not materially alter the vendor’s contractual rights.
